myears's posterous

MyEars is now finally out of beta and fully launched – check out www.myears.net.au and come and see me in action!

There has been quite a lot of buzz in the games media about the impact that MyEars is going to have on competitive gaming in particular.

And here is a little example that I found on YouTube - its a bit loRez but the sound changes a fair bit in position and quality as you listen through other peoples ears.

With millions of "views" on YouTube and a first in the "3D Audio demo shoot out" this has to be the most well known demonstration of virtual audio. But the sounds are all behind my head! Nearly everyone I know hears this behind the head even when Manuel goes over to play his guitar or the clippers are supposed to go over the top of the head.

And these are all behind me as well!
